MY DAD WAS A GENERAL MILLS SALES MAN THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. HE DIDN’T HAVE MANY HOBBIES BUT HE DID LOVE TO MAKE CAKES. HIS FAVORITE ONE WAS ANGEL FOOD, BUT HIS WAS WAY BETTER THAN WHAT YOU HAVE HERE. HIS SPECIAL TOUCH ??? PUT DRY HOT/COLD CHOCOLATE MIX WITH THE WHIPPED CREAM. ADD SLICED ALMONDS TO THE WHIPPING CREAM. CUT OFF ABOUT ONE INCH OF BOTTOM OF CAKE. FLIP IT UPSIDE DOWN.MAKES IT EASIER TO FILL…MAKE A TUNNEL AROUND CENTER OF CAKE.SO YOU HAVE CAKE ON BOTH SIDES. DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO THE BOTTOM!! PACK ICING IN !! PUT BOTTOM LAYER BACK ON AND FLIP BACK OVER. ICE IT UP !! IF YOU NEED TO JUST MAKE MORE ICING !! YUM, YUM. HAPPY CAKES.
