Homemade Turkish Beef TAVA recipe

Tava (Eliböğründe) is easy to make but an insanely delicious meat meal. If you have ingredients in your fridge, you can prepare for the next meal time easily. In the SouthEastern part of Turkey, this meal is really famous. Usually people in this region after prepare they meat+vegetable tray, tend to send to a Turkish bread bakery for wood fire cook instead of cooking at home.

Serves: 6 Prep Time: Cooking Time: Nutrition facts: 200 calories 20 grams fat

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chunked beef (fatty ribeye)
  • 5 mid-size tomatoes
  • 3 green and red pepper
  • 15 cloves of garlic
  • a few pinches of salt, red pepper flakes, and oregano
  • 2 tablespoon virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. First of all, bring all your ingredients on the bench. Spread the chunked fatty ribeye on half of the tray. Then chop up the peppers and tomatoes.
  2. Do not forget to take out of pepper's seeds and tomato's green part. Then spread pepper pieces first, then put tomato slices on peppers.
  3. Otherwise, peppers gonna cook faster than tomato and will burn/dry too much. Do not forget the garlic cloves and sprinkle spices on vegetables and meat.
  4. Add some Olive oil and put your tray into the preheated (200 C) oven for 40-45 minutes.
  5. Do not forget to ask your bakery guy for freshest Turkish bread (Flatbread is better with Tava in my opinion)
