Watercolor Style Cake is on the menu in Book recipe, and we are going to teach you how to make this delicious recipe from scratch!
This little guy is similar to the last one we made, but she is much easier, super forgiving, and way more fun if you ask me ;) The colours on this one are much more rich and vibrant and ring true to what one might expect a watercolour to look like. You have those dark outlines edges of the puddle of edible paint, and the bleeding of the colours, which I for one believe that’s where the magic happens with this design. Mix up the colours to your hearts desire! I used teal and golden yellow with a touch of red in the mix, all gel food colours.

The preparation steps are described in the video. For the dark chocolate ganache, I recommend a 1:2 ratio of cream and dark chocolate. For example, 250 grams of heavy cream and 500 grams of dark chocolate.Ingredients

Notes
I like to run a spatula through the buttercream at the end, and let this be my guide as to how easy or difficult it is to smooth. If it resists the spatula too much, I add more milk.
