Ingredients

  • milk – 2 tbsp
  • 2 eggs
  • vanillin – ¼ tsp
  • wheat flour – 1 oz /35 g
  • baking powder – ½ tsp
  • powdered sugar – 1 oz /25 g
  • lemon juice – ½ tsp
  • vegetable oil – 1 tsp

You will need:

  • bowl
  • pan with a lid
  • mixer

Instructions

  1. Separate the whites from the yolks and combine the yolks with the milk.
  2. Add the sieved flour and baking powder and mix the batter to a smooth, no lumps.
  3. Add the lemon juice to the whites and beat until stiff peaks adding the powdered sugar gradually.
  4. Take 1/3 of the beaten whites and add into the batter, stir in neatly in rotating motions.
  5. Add the left of the whites into the batter and stir neatly until smooth.
  6. Heat a pan over low heat and oil the pan with the help of a paper tissue.
  7. Spoon pancakes onto the pan 1-1½ in /3-4 cm from each other and fry for a minute over low heat with a lid covered.
  8. Remove the lid and add 1 tbsp of the batter onto each pancake, cover the lid and fry for another 2,5 minutes over low heat.
  9. Flip the pancakes carefully and cover with the lid, bake for 3,5 minutes over low heat. Sprinkle the fluffy pancakes with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve the pancakes with warm honey or jam
