Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or walnuts
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder

Wet Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil (veg or canola)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place muffin cups in a muffin tin, or grease muffin tray with butter or oil.
  2. Sift together all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add in sugar and chocolate chips, mix well using a hand whisk. Set aside these dry ingredients.
  3. In a separate bowl mash bananas, add in 2 eggs, vanilla, and oil. Mix to combine.
  4. Now fold in dry ingredients in two batches.
  5. Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin pan, 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes remove or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes; Place to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Enjoy as-is or with your favorite frosting.
